Description
Diplomatic missions abroad represent their home countries in many ways, the most visible of which may be the structures that house them. The design of embassies poses a representational problem fit for the most diplomatic of architects. As traced in through the essays collected here, the German embassies built over the last 50 years have instigated a particularly difficult and challenging search for appropriate architectural expression. - from Amzon
